Neighbours are baffled by a prominent council sign demanding that people “Keep Off The Grass” despite the patch of grass measuring less than 1 metre by 1 metre.
Merton Council in South-West London has come under fire for the sign, which has been there from a time when there actually was some grass to be on. However, with continued road adjustments and expanding pavements, the patch has been reduced to the size of 2 coal bags. The grass that is there looks decidedly patchy.
However, the sign stands firm and, (for the time being at least,) protects the little patch from those dreaded Grass Trespassers.
